Osmania College KNL

Osmania College, Kurnool was established in 1947 by a renowned philanthropist, Dr. M. Abdul Haq Saheb, M.A., D.Phil. (Oxford).It is a minority institution, recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act of 1956 and affiliated to Rayalaseema University, Kurnool (from the academic year 2010-2011). The college is located on a campus of 9.5 acres and offers courses in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Management and Computer Applications at the undergraduate level. M.A.


(English Literature), M.Sc. (Physics), M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) and M.Com. (Professional) are the courses available at P.G. level. The college has the student strength of 2451(Men & Women) and the staff of 206 (Teaching 134 and Non-teaching 72).



  The college was conferred with the autonomous status in 2005. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore accredited the college with “A” Grade for a period of five years (Institutional score between 85% and 90% with validity from 31.03.2007).
